Round 3 · Sunday props
Round 3 Sunday props: the 5-leg, 7-leg and 11-leg tickets
Three tickets for Sunday. The 5-leg is the base. The 7-leg and the 11-leg add legs, and every extra leg is another way to miss. The 11-leg is not the 7-leg with more names on it. James Cook is on the 7-leg only.

Why these
Patrick Mahomes has finished under 190 passing yards only four times in his last 16 games. Three were losses to strong defences: 187 against the Eagles, 160 against the Texans, and 189 against the Chargers, the game where he tore his ACL. The fourth was 184 at Denver in Week 1 this year, his first game back, when Kansas City leaned on the run. Kansas City plays Miami this week.
Kenneth Walker III has 16 targets and 9 catches for 79 yards this season, 72 of them after the catch. His short catches out of the backfield give Mahomes an outlet he didn't have in those low games.

Game of the round: Chargers at Bills
This one stands on its own. It is not part of any of the multis above.
Chargers at Bills, in Buffalo. We expect a high-scoring shootout.
Why: Buffalo has scored 36 and 41 through Weeks 1 and 2 and conceded 31 in both games, and both teams rank among the league's seven softest pass defences. Our projection: about 55 points.
These are real wagers placed before kickoff. They stand as placed.
